As an experienced clinical psychologist (therapist) I have had the opportunity to hone my skills over many years of training and working with people of varied ages and backgrounds. After graduating from Yeshiva University with my doctorate in psychology I spent 7 years as an Associate Research Scientist at Yale University and at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System, where I was a Program Director in their Clinical Health Psychology department and conducted research on a wide range of psychological issues. Throughout this time I maintained an active private practice in Stamford, CT. Since relocating to Long Island I serve as a core faculty member in a nationally recognized program at the Northport VA Medical Center and opened private offices in Lawrence and Garden City.
Additionally, I have supervised students from many of the top graduate programs, published in prestigious psychology journals, presented at professional conferences and developed treatment manuals that are used in clinical research at major educational institutions and hospitals. I helped launch businesses that provided greater access to therapeutic services to people in need across the nation and developed novel techniques to foster human creativity in group settings. I also spent several years developing a unique approach to therapy called Dynamic Experiential Learning (DEL), which is designed to help you overcome obstacles and achieve more satisfaction from life. Please read more about this on the My Approach page.
More than anything else though, I truly love what I do! This allows me to connect with people from all walks of life and successfully help people live happier lives.
